Zilqad moon sighted in Pakistan
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon for the start of Zilqad has been seen in different parts of Pakistan.
On Monday, the Central and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees held meetings to look for the crescent moon. Members from the Zonal Committee, officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and experts from the Meteorological Department were all part of the meeting.
Sources said that reliable reports of the moon being seen came from several areas of the country, including Peshawar. Before the sighting, experts from the Meteorological Department had predicted that the moon would likely be visible between 6:52 pm and 7:50 pm.
After getting multiple reports and carefully checking them, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee officially confirmed that the moon had been sighted. Because of this confirmation, the first day of Zilqad 1446 AH will be celebrated tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29.
